What is a clown?

What defines a "clown"? Just a guide for you to understand clowns! Maybe by the end of it you'll want to be a clown, too!

So, what is a clown? A clown is a sub-species of humans! Just kidding, there are just people who dress up funny and entertain others. They usually juggle or blow balloons for kids to get paid. Yes, clowns are made for jobs, mostly at circuses or birthday parties, but you can always be one as a hobby!

Maybe you've seen a clown before, but you never knew that they were a clown! Here's what a clown looks like:

Obviously clowns can look different, but they have a collective aesthetic. There's kind of, like, ground rules for the clown aesthetic.

• There's the classic, happy and fun clown! This one you see more often. They do their job well.
• There's also the sad clown. You might see random portraits of a clown frowning. This aesthetic was popular for it's clash against what clowns are supposed to be!
• Lastly, there exists the scary clown! You might think of Pennywise when you hear of this. It's very self-explanatory. Clown but scary in some way, shape, or form.

Clowns have some interesting features as well! Some are acrobats, who can fling themselves 30 feet in the air! Wow! Clowns have the hands of a human, but their fingers may be numb. I wish them luck with their clownery!
